A fish eye pushed into abstraction through saturated oranges and reds, my favorite colors, and one of my favorite subjects. This was actually the first of my fish eye paintings, made after a gallery suggestion to extend my lipstick practice into oil sticks. The image sits somewhere between observation and instinct, where color takes over and the eye becomes more about energy than anatomy.
